About Us

Our Mission statement is to support the home and extend the ministry of the church! We do this by providing a Christ-centered atmosphere for all children! We implement a fun, engaging and challenging comprehensive learning curriculum all while in a safe and nurturing environment.

Our Day

Our day begins at 8:50 a.m. and ends at noon! If you take advantage of our Lunch Bunch program, the day is extended until 1 p.m. The day begins with centers (Home Living, Blocks and Cars, Reading, Science & Free art) and exploration time where creativity flourishes! Following centers is circle time where we learn about our numbers, letters, colors, etc.. Your child’s teacher directs arts and crafts, snack time, outside time, and enhancements! Some examples of our enhancements are Spanish, Music, Chapel!  Bible lessons are also taught as part of the Abeka Curriculum.  The fours have additional teaching time where they focus on numbers and phonics. Vowel and consonant sounds are taught as well as blended letters and finally building words.  By the second semester, kids are learning to read through the beginner level Abeka books provided to them! Each week we focus on a different theme! Some examples are “All About Me”, “Farm” week” “Fall” Career Week” etc. Each different theme will correlate with the lessons, crafts and activities for the week!  Along with learning, we like to plan different special events throughout the school year! Some examples are Special Centers, Dances, Muffins with Mom, and Donuts with Dad, Father/Daughter dance, Mother/Son Prom and more!

Our Philosophy

Our program has been established to provide a safe and stable Christian environment with an academically appropriate, Bible-based education. This will help the children be prepared to launch into their life-long education and spiritual journey with God. They will accomplish this through discovery, exploration, play, decision making, problem solving, and structured learning!

The Abeka curriculum centers on the "whole child" approach. This enables, equips and encourages every child. We are confident this program’s learning and developmental methods will help the children thrive and reach their full potential. Our teachers adhere to this philosophy and work hard to cater to each child’s developmental needs. This means that teachers provide opportunities for children to grow in the areas of social, emotional, physical, intellectual, linguistic, moral, and spiritual development. They do this through play, academic, Biblical instruction, and hands-on experiences. We aim to nurture your child's natural love for learning. A safe space is provided where each child knows they are special and loved! We will always respect and respond to each child and their individual needs.

Another curriculum FBCM is using, is called ABCJesus Loves me. This curriculum provides five comprehensive research based curricula for ages 1-5 that focuses on academics, development and bible learning through play!

Through exploration and discovery, children are enabled to form original ideas. This encourages them to think and problem solve. When children are allowed to make mistakes, it gives them the freedom to invent, create, and find new ways to do things. It is important to encourage creativity in all areas of learning.

Young children learn best in a setting that encourages experiential play through exploration. Children will learn how to get along, share, develop motor skills, independent thinking, language, vocabulary skills, be responsible, mutual respect, decision making, and problem solving all through play.

FBCM Weekday Preschool functions based on the philosophy that children and their families strongly benefit from high-quality early childhood development programs. We believe that the first five years of a child's life are critical and linked to later success! Each child that graduates from our preschool program will be well equipped for Kindergarten!

Every child learns differently. Acknowledging each child's unique character and learning style allows for differentiation and equal access to all learning opportunities.
